We all eat. Period. What we eat, why we eat, and how we eat vary according to cultures, priorities, schedules, families, and preference. I prefer to eat well because I know that everything that goes into my mouth breaks down and eventually helps or harms my cells that make my body. Give your body what it needs to function well so it is not scrambling and working overtime to meet its functional needs, leaving you tired.
The problem is time and money, usually. Most people KNOW they should eat better, and a lot of people genuinely WANT to be healthier. But sacrificing the time and sometimes a few extra dollars isn't appealing enough for most of us.
Being a nursing student, I'm learning a ton about how our body works and responds to diseases and works hard to meet the demands we put on it. Being healthy isn't just the absence of "sickness." We eat for a reason and I believe there's so much more to health than not having a fever, a cough, or sore throat. I also love to cook. So, join me as I navigate through the world of health, food, and family!
